Norma's interest in art started
when she won a scholarship for summer
school at the Art Institute of Chicago. She attended classes that
summer and thus began a life long interest in oil painting.
She has attended classes in the
evening school in Wheaton, Illinois and the
DuPage Art League. She has attended workshops in Door County, Wisconsin
and Sante Fe, New Mexico as well as several others. Along the way she has
received several awards. Since moving to Florida a few years ago she
has been studying plein air oil painting with a well known Florida
artist.
She and her husband Jim, live on the
West coast of Florida
where many of the local beaches are a source of painting enjoyment. She
has paintings at the Island Gallery West, The Restless Natives, Longboat
Art league and the Art Center of Manatee.
